Whether you are new to rallying or are already an accomplished rallyist looking for tips on improving your performance, you will be interested in reading these notes which have been written by our rally guru, Roger Lewis. The first document (click here to view) deals with the basics of rallying, and explains some of the more challenging aspects to rallying and how you go about dealing with them. The second document will help you when you are getting more serious at improving your times, and are ready to progress to counting the white lines to establish your true speed. This is useful when there are no signs or milestones to help you. A table relating to the white lines which you can print and take along to your next rally can be found here. Lastly, Roger explains how you can calculate some of the missing times in the rally schedule you are given. The explanation for finding the unknown times is contained in this document, and an example that you can use to get the hang of it can be found here.
Thanks to Roger Lewis for providing this information. |
