The MG Car Club Cape Town Centre was established in 1948 to encourage members to use their MG cars and to provide a forum for buying & selling as well as being a font of technical knowledge. The Club’s objectives remain very much the same today. The Club organises social events, drives and regular meetings where the members can swop ideas and resolve their technical problems. It also publishes a monthly newsletter called The Breed which keeps all our members informed and up to date. The Club has approximately 180 members who amongst them, own about 260 MG cars, which range from early 1930s models through to the modern MG3.
Prospective members are encouraged to attend our Monthly Natters which generally take place on the second Saturday of the month at the Crankhandle Club in Wynberg, see the address details on the CONTACT page.
Our goal is to support, encourage, and develop members’ enjoyment of ownership of their MGs - and to make some friends along the way!
